Directions to the Main Library at 318 Kearny Avenue
From Route 280E
- Take Exit 16 (immediately over drawbridge).
- Keep to the right side of the exit ramp.
- At the second light after the exit, turn right onto Harrison Avenue.
- At the second light on Harrison Avenue (before the bridge and the Hess gas station), turn right onto Passaic Avenue.
- At the fourth light (after passing Burger King on your left), turn right onto Bergen Avenue.
- At the second light, turn left onto Kearny Avenue and go one block to Garfield Avenue.
- The Kearny Public Library is on your right at the intersection of Kearny Avenue and Garfield Avenue at 318 Kearny Avenue.
From Garden State Parkway
- Take Exit 145.
- Bear right after tolls (do not exit onto Central Avenue).
- Take Route 280E and follow above directions.
From New Jersey Turnpike
- Take Exit 15W; keep right.
- Take the first available exit after the tolls; you will be on Harrison Avenue, going towards Newark.
- At the first light, turn right onto Bergen Avenue (WalMart will be on the left).
- At the fourth light, turn right onto Kearny Avenue and go one block to Garfield Avenue.
- The Kearny Public Library is on your right at the intersection of Kearny Avenue and Garfield Avenue at 318 Kearny Avenue.
Directions to the Branch Library
- Follow above directions.
- Pass the Main Library on Kearny Avenue and continue on Kearny Avenue about 1.5 miles. The Branch Library is at the intersection of Kearny Avenue and Stuyvesant Avenue at 759 Kearny Avenue.

Branch Library
The Branch Library at 759 Kearny Avenue houses a collection of children's books, as well as a smaller adult collection of books and magazines. In addition, there are computers available for Internet access or word processing.
